Girls Aloud, the British-Irish pop girl group, has announced a reunion tour for 2024, ending their 11-year hiatus. The tour, named #TheGirlsAloudShow, will not only serve as a reunion but also as a tribute to their late fifth member, Sarah Harding, who passed away due to breast cancer in 2021.
The tour is set to begin in May and June 2024, and it's described as a celebration rather than a traditional comeback. Cheryl, one of the group members, emphasized that it should be seen as a celebration of a milestone and promised that it would be an unforgettable experience filled with nostalgia.
Girls Aloud first captivated audiences in 2002 on the TV talent show Popstars: The Rivals. They achieved significant success with 21 top ten singles on the Official U.K. Singles Chart and released five studio albums and two greatest hits projects. Most of their albums reached the top ten in the U.K., with two claiming the number one spot.
